 | Nylon Coil Zippers: These
zippers form the bulk of the sales of zippers world-wide. The classic
zipper. If you look closely at these zippers, you will notice that the
slider runs on two coils on each side. The 'teeth' on this zipper are
coils.
Metal Zippers:
These are the zippers used in jeans. The teeth are not coils, they are
individually molded then set on the zipper tape at precise and uniform
intervals. Our #5 aluminum zippers are of this type.
Marine Zippers:
These are just like the metal zippers, but the teeth are plastic
instead of metal. The plastic construction can be colored to match the
fabric, and are often used in marine applications, jackets, sleeping
bags and backpacks.
