We recommend cleaning at least once a week during use
to extend the lifespan of the product, which will prevent dirt and
contamination buildup and permanent staining. In the event of a spill, wipe off
any excess right away with a dry white cloth or fabric, but be careful not to
spread onto the remaining surface. Easily remove most stains by brushing dirt
off the topping and hosing it down thoroughly. Make a solution of 2 ounces of
mild soap to 1 gallon of warm, not hot, water. Then clean with a soft bristle
brush or garden hose. Rinse thoroughly with cold water and air dry. If there
are any stubborn stains or mildew that cannot be removed with soapy water, use
a mixture of 1⁄2 cup non- chlorine bleach, 1⁄4 cup mild soap and a gallon of
warm water. Use a spray bottle to apply the solution directing onto the topping
(avoid overspraying). Let sit for 20 minutes, then scrub lightly with a soft
bristle brush. Rinse thoroughly with cold water and air dry. Although Utopia HD
is extremely durable, cleaning is still vital to ensuring its longevity. Avoid
mildew by storing your top after it is clean and dry.
